At waste facilities, Mandalay Technologies uses the weighbridge to measure the amount going in and out of the facility, and it has Point of Sale to allow owners of the tip to charge for the deposit of waste. Mandalay Technologies has also installed un-manned versions and running databases of ‘commercial’ depositors who can deposit with license plate recognition and account-based payments.
Transfer stations are processing sites for the temporary deposition of waste, where local waste collection vehicles will deposit their waste cargo prior to loading into larger vehicles. These larger vehicles will transport the waste to the endpoint of disposal in an incinerator, landfill or hazardous waste facility, or for recycling.
Mandalay Technologies measure the amount coming in and out of the facilities and can track this across multiple facilities run by a single organisation, providing it is broken down or consolidated.
Material recovery facilities are specialised plants that receive, separate and prepare recycled materials for re-use in the community by manufacturers. More and more countries around the world are establishing and operating these facilities.
