Levy Management
State governments throughout Australia have implemented various forms of waste levy or have regulations that require specific reporting and data collection.
Mandalay Technologies works with all state governments and councils to ensure that they meet their levy management requirements. This is built into the software and streamlines the operations.
Charity Exemption
Charity and communities collect or receive waste through community services or activities. The Environmental Protection Authorities have given an exemption from the waste levy to charitable or not-for-profit organisations.
Mandalay Technologies allows for this exception to be recorded at the facility and included in the EPA Waste Levy reporting.
Chain of Responsibility
The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator has identified the overloading of heavy vehicles a serious issue throughout Australia. They have made it the responsibility of all stakeholders including waste management organisations to ensure there is no overloading and legal liability applies to all stakeholders.
Mandalay Technologies has built software for NHVR Chain of Responsibility Support, which conforms with the reporting requirements of heavy vehicles entering and exiting the facility. For ease, this has been set to government default settings, although users can define their own criteria within limits. Full customisation requires access via the naus Platform.
